#3 Cookbooks

We won’t lie and say they’re not tempting. After all, the covers are gorgeous and eye-catching, and getting the cookbook of your favorite chef can feel like a dream come true. However, the sad truth is that no matter how many cookbooks you buy, you will probably open them only a handful of times over the years.

In the end, it’s so much easier to just search for whatever recipe you need online and check a trusted site than to go hunting through your cookbooks. Unless you’re actually getting some use from them, stop throwing your money around on them and use it on something else.

#4 All those travel accessories

We all enjoy going on vacation or on little trips around the house. So it’s understandable that we’re going to spend money on accommodation and buy plane tickets. However, besides these and luggage, along with a few toiletry bags and maybe shoe bags, there’s no need for you to spend money on all those extra travel accessories.

Not only will you end up buying a passport cover every time something catches your eye, and you will inevitably not use any of them, but you will just end up with a collection of travel-related items (like packing cubes and money belts, maps, and dictionaries) that will just gather dust. So don’t fall for marketing ploys and buy all of these unless you’re 100% sure you will use them.
