Acapulco
Acapulco is an extremely affordable beach paradise that it’s well known for its turquoise water and delicious cuisine. Some of the top attractions include XTASEA, which is a zip line that crosses the Bay of Puerto Marques, and reaches 75 miles an hour, and the Rollo Aquatic park, with fun pools and waterslides for children. Of course, off Acapulco’s coast is also La Roqueta Island, which is known for snorkeling and diving.
Bucks County, Pennsylvania
Bucks County is 30 minutes from Philadelphia, and it brings a more traditional holiday backdrop. The New Hope Railroad offers passengers a good old taste of the golden age of rail travel, and during holidays it features a North Pole Express theme ride. At Peddler’s Village, visitors can easily explore a winter wonderland.
Alexandria, Virginia
Alexandria is one of the most charming cities you could ever visit, especially because of its brick-lined streets and twinkling holiday lights. If you’ve ever been to King Street, then you already know that it brings a real-life Dickens village.
You can easily reach Alexandria, as it’s a couple of minutes away by subway from Washington, D.C. Iceland is probably THE BEST place you could visit during the Holidays, it’s simply magic. Visitors that decide on Iceland during winter will have all kinds of interesting activities on their schedule, such as snowmobile tours and adventurous glacier trekking expeditions, but also husky rides!
And the most interesting about this beautiful country is that once the sun sets, you can cozy up with a bowl of lobster bisque and watch the Northern Lights.
Miami
The December weather in Miami is very hard to beat, alongside all the low priced-flights that make it the ideal last-minute, end-of-year traveling spot. The Iconic South Beach is the place where you’ll probably see the best restaurants, nightlife, and shopping spots you’ve ever seen. Make sure you don’t miss the graffiti spots in the city, especially those in the Wynwood Walls.
