4. Buy cheaper cuts
We probably all prefer the cuts that are more expensive, but many times we underestimate the cheaper cuts. It is the perfect time to stop doing this and learn more about cheap cuts of meat. There are a lot of delicious foods that require these cuts instead of the more pricey ones.
For example, for chicken, you can try to buy bone-in chicken thighs, whole chicken drumsticks, or chicken leg quarters since these cuts are the cheapest. If you prefer beef but want to be more thrifty, check out the hanger steak or the flat iron.
Another thing that you can do when buying meat is to go to a butchery and always ask the butcher to take out the bone and remove the fat. In this way, you will pay less for the meat, and many times you would have removed the fat and the bone anyway when you were cooking. So why not use this trick and save some money?
