The Arch Deluxe Burger from McDonald’s

One of the many times I went to McDonald’s, I decided to try the Arch Deluxe Burger. Well, truth be told, it was probably one of the blandest burgers I’ve ever tried, and I’ve eaten some, believe me. Don’t get me wrong; it had a decent taste, so it would be unfair to say that it was completely disgusting.

However, it was a burger that I would never, not in a million years, associate with McDonald’s. The Arch Deluxe was created in McDonald’s test kitchen somewhere in October 1995. Back then, McDonald’s was more associated with children than adults, so the chain wanted to find a proper way to “re-connect” with adults, hence the Arch Deluxe Burger.

At some point, it even had its own slogan: “The Burger with the Grown-up Taste.” Truth be told, now that we know how it tastes, the slogan makes more sense.

Seafood Sensation Sub from Subway

Listen, if you were to ask me, some food combinations should never go together. For instance, I don’t think that seafood and subs go hand in hand. For instance, I don’t think that seafood and subs go hand in hand. Well, since we’re at it, let’s take Subway as an example.

As you well know, Subway is the biggest sandwich chain in the whole world. Well, at some point in the restaurant’s history, they decided to ignore this rule and make their own seafood sub. Well, the results weren’t…what they expected, and I’m talking about the infamous Seafood Sensation sub, which remained in the history of Subway as the worst and most diabolical of them all.

The Seafood Sensation’s main ingredients were crabmeat and deli meat, and like many other Subway sandwiches, you had the option of adding your own ingredients to make the sub taste just the way you want it.

However, for most of us, no matter how much cheese, veggies, sauce, or vinegar we might have thrown at it, it didn’t get any better. Luckily, Subway paid attention to the public’s reaction, and they pulled the Seafood Sensation from their menu. Trust me, no matter how much we’ve tried, there was nothing nice or tasty about this combination.
