What other types of free items can you get?

Companies tend to offer all sorts of freebies. You can ask for a specific product, like samples or coupons, but it’s best not to be too picky. You should compliment the company and politely ask for free items rather than demand it.

What you get will differ by brand. But generally speaking, you’ll receive one of the following:

-Promotional products: Some companies send out promotional items rather than their regular products. These could be free tote bags, t-shirts, stickers, or mugs with the company’s branding.
-Coupons: They’re often big-value coupons that can save you lots of cash on the company’s products or even get you products for free.
For instance, brands like Pepsi mail out coupons for free products. This is the most common freebie that companies send out.
-Sample products: You might get free samples from manufacturers. Generous brands might send you full-sized products. But most of the time, they’ll be travel-sized items. This could be one or two products from its range, like shampoo and conditioner. Or, if it’s a clothing company, they’ll send you something to test its quality.

Getting in touch with companies directly to get free items

We’ve combed through the internet to find companies that give out free stuff to customers. Now, some people recommend complaining to get free things. We ABSOLUTELY do NOT!

We only recommend filing a complaint if you’ve experienced an issue with a company’s services or products. The best way to get free things is to complement the company while asking nicely.

Generally, companies respond much better to this approach. There are lots of different ways to contact them for free stuff. Here are a few examples:

-Mail: This is obviously the most costly option. But since companies don’t get as many letters as they used to, they might appreciate a written message a bit more.
-Phone: Another option is to call them directly. This one is more time-consuming, but you can only call one brand at a time. So, it isn’t necessarily the most time-efficient method of getting free stuff.
-Email: This is a very easy way to contact companies. Some have a contact form on their website, while others an email address where you can send a message.
-Social media: Brands can also be contacted through social media, including Facebook and Instagram.
-Online chat box: Those tiny chat boxes in the corner of websites can be excellent places to contact customer service and request free items. You can talk to customer service and ask.
