3. Burger King

Burger King is one of the most popular fast-food chains in the world, with over 12,000 locations. But fame didn’t help them with the major issues they had to face. In 2010, a man claimed that he ordered a burger from a restaurant in Hawaii and he actually discovered 2 needles in it. One of them pierced his tongue, and the other one got stuck in his small intestine. He went to the hospital to receive the care and treatment he needed, and he filed a lawsuit for damages.

In 2013, Burger King was the main character in another huge scandal. Experts stated that they found small traces of horse DNA in some of the burgers they served in their United Kingdom restaurants. The company said that those burgers contained very little horse meat and they were never imported to U.S. locations. However, the whole incident was something that didn’t do any good to their reputation.

2. Taco Bell

If you thought that junk food is not healthy just because it has plenty of calories, there are actually way more reasons for that. Taco Bell is one of the restaurants that has been part of many scandals due to the mystery ingredients they added to their tacos.

The actual problem was the fact that Taco Bell sold meat that contained only 35% beef, and the rest of it was oats, fillers, and seasonings. In conformity with the USDA standards, they aren’t allowed to consider their meat “beef” if it contains only a few grams of actual beef.

And if that wasn’t enough information to keep you away from ordering at Taco Bell, the restaurant was also guilty of using an artificial ingredient known as “Pink Slime” in their beef meat.

McDonald’s is one of the most popular fast food restaurants in the whole world, not just in America, but it’s also the worst one of them all. Some people say that they only use unhealthy ingredients in their foods and that they don’t have a problem with serving food that has fallen on the floor.

In 2006, a customer from Texas said that he found a dead rat in a salad he ordered from McDonald’s, and a few years earlier, in 2010, a woman claimed she found a fried chicken head in one of her meals. The problems are also big in other countries: in 2015, in Japan, for instance, a customer found a human tooth in his French fries. We’re sorry, McDonald’s, but we are not going to meet again!
