We know we’re all on the fence about generic and cheap paper products. After all, there’s nothing worse than needing some paper to wipe the counter and having your hands go through the sheet in a matter of seconds: cheap paper products are of bad quality. Yet, Great Value is skipping these hurdles, as they are known to be the exception to the rule.
Their paper towels aren’t only sold in a value pack, so you won’t pay a ton for them, but they are also just as good as the name-brand ones. There’s no need to pay more per unit if you don’t have to, so next time you’re looking for paper towels, give these ones a chance!
#4 All-purpose Flour
The base for all things bakery is flour, and even for some savory dishes, you will find yourself in need of one or two spoons of all-purpose flour. And while some people might tell you some name brand is the best thing out there, there is actually little to no difference between them. So there’s no need to splurge, as the generic brand version you can get at Walmart is great too!
If anything, some bloggers have tested it against a bigger and more well-known brand to find out if there’s anything different, and the Great Value one came out on top when it came to cookies, with little to no difference otherwise. So just go with the $1 bags. Everything will work out just fine.

Great Value ice cream is excellent. Rocky Road, Cookies and Cream, Butter Pecan are chock full of cookie pieces, chocolate pieces, and nuts. It’s right up there with Publix premium ice cream. IMO Breyer is over rated. I bought GV brand trying to be frugal. Glad I did. Now it’s my go to brand. It was $1.98/48 oz. It’s gone up to $2.24.
Great Value vanilla bean ice cream is not only tasty – it has all real ingredients, no weird named crappy ingredients, no xanthum or guar gum etc. The other great value icecream flavors including other vanillas are not as pure. Don’t believe me? Read the back of cartons.
