The membership costs $59.99 per year, but the company swears that you’re going to make the whole amount back through savings, or else they give you back the difference when you renew the membership. On top of this, part of the fee you pay for your membership helps with sponsoring credits and memberships for low-income families, students, veterans, first responders, and teachers.
In terms of whether it’s worth it or not if you are looking for a delivery service that will provide you with organic foods right at your doorstep, and with whom you can make your money back with savings, then it’s totally worth it. However, don’t expect them to have name brands and other items you may be familiar with from big chain stores.
#6 Costco Delivery Services
Do you have a Costco membership? (If not, you should get informed whether it is for you or not.) If you do, you may be surprised to know that they do offer delivery services. However, there are only two options, and you are dependent on your ZIP code, to see if you are eligible for them.
The two options are either two-day delivery for all nonperishable groceries, such as most health and personal care products, pet or household supplies, along with other grocery items that will not get spoiled. Same-day delivery is only available in certain areas through Instacart, which may be quite bothersome. To see which one of them you are eligible for, go to their site and input your ZIP code.
The good thing about them is that all Costco members are eligible for the free delivery service for all orders over $75, leaving them to pay a fee of $3 for the ones under. The drawback is that there is a minimum threshold that needs to be met for same-day delivery ($35), otherwise, it is not going to work.
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you already have a Costco membership, it is definitely worth a try, and you can always get some of the bulky, heavy necessities delivered instead of having to lug them around. Otherwise, you may have to take into consideration the price of getting the membership and if it’s worth it for you.
