#5 Make the most of your scraps and peels!
When it comes to leftover peeled and cored veggies you may be using, that half a carrot left in the fridge from last weekend’s stew, and even bones and meat scraps you may be having around the house, do not be throwaway happy and toss these away. You can easily turn those into a delicious soup broth, which you can also freeze and use later when you want to make an easy soup if you make too much.
Even things you didn’t think you could use, like garlic and onion skin, and even the rough skin of the squash, will be able to bring flavor to a broth, and you can easily toss them away after you have used them to their full potential. So, before you throw something away, consider whether it can be reused in another dish!
