The worst times:
Mondays
I know what you’re thinking: if you drop by Costco on Mondays, you’ll successfully manage to beat the weekend rush. However, you’re definitely not the only one who thought of that, as Mondays earned such a bad reputation for a reason.
Besides people like you who wanted to “avoid” crowded hours, lots of people come to the warehouse on Mondays to return what they bought during the weekend. If you want my advice, you might as well scoop it up to see just how generous their return policy is. You will manage to understand why so many people bring their items back.
Lunchtime
Going to Costco during lunchtime could seem like a good idea, but then again, many people thought about the same thing. During these hours, long lines are very common, especially since so many people want to grab something quick to eat and maybe even pick up a few things.
Well, Costco thought about this, too, and that’s why the warehouse retailer came up with a wonderful selection of cold and hot foods, from hot dogs to churros, so people could gather and grab a quick bite.
Weekends
Weekends are oftentimes super busy, and if this is the only time span when you could actually make a trip to the warehouse retailer, then you need to be prepared to pack a little bit of patience with your reusable bags.
Weeknights
I know it might seem super convenient to have a Costco on your route back home, but you should reconsider the temptation to shop if you’re in a hurry. As you might know, weeknights are usually super busy, as many other folks out there want to grab a thing or two before heading home for dinner.
Also, Costco’s rotisserie chicken is absolutely to die for, and just like you, a ton of other people fantasize about it long before finishing their shifts. If you’ve decided to fight for one of those rotisserie chickens, you might want to grab a quick bite before This way, at least you know you won’t fight on an empty stomach!
December
Costco has a great selection of things you might want to get for the holidays, such as gifts, toys, wrapping paper, and even decorations. They also have a very large selection of appetizers, dinners, and desserts, which, by the end of the year, become increasingly popular.
All these things make December probably the worst month for grocery shopping. If you want a great tip, you might want to consider getting your Costco holiday shopping done right before Thanksgiving. This way, you’ll have access to all the holiday items, while avoiding any kind of “holiday-themed” bad behavior at the warehouse retailer.
