#5 Frugal life: Furniture

If you’re planning on changing your furniture, you’re out of luck, we are afraid. Especially since you’re trying to be frugal and you don’t want to spend the tens of thousands of dollars it would take you to redo a room at retail face value. Furniture prices have increased over the latest few years, and unfortunately, the decent pieces can end up taking you down a few hundred if not thousands of dollars.

That is, if you do not know where to look for furniture and you rely on big retail stores.

You can always make use of thrift shops if you want to start your search there and then make your way through consignment stores and even check out estate sales! There are a lot of places where you can find almost unused furniture that would definitely fit the theme you’re looking for.

And if all else fails, you can look online on marketplaces or on apps. And if secondhand is not for you, you can always make sure to hit up an outlet shop for furniture or local warehouse clubs. They’re your best shot for cheaper furniture options!
