Shredded and sliced cheese
Did you spot a great deal on shredded cheese? Just stock up and put those extra bags of cheese in the freezer. You can shred your own cheese and freeze it however you like.
Prepare to see clumps, but trust me, if you use it on pizza, it won’t matter! Also, good news: you can easily freeze sliced cheese for as long as you like.
Onions, peppers, and carrots
We already know that we can freeze raw vegetables, and we couldn’t emphasize enough how much of a time saver it can be. Slice and dice them put them in a freezer bag, and you won’t have to worry about veggies for the next couple of months.
But if you have a bit more time on your hands, you can flash-freeze your vegetables. This way, you will have access to smaller amounts of onions, carrots, and peppers when you want to make a quick minestrone.
Have you never heard of Flash Freeze? It’s easy: spread out the vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet, then freeze them. Once they’re frozen, you can easily transfer them to a freezer bag.
Zucchini
If you’re left with a half zucchini and you don’t want to throw it away, good for you. I wouldn’t throw it either. The easiest solution is to grate it up and freeze it. It is super easy and extremely convenient.
Whenever you’re ready to use it, drain the excess liquid and cook it. Also, if you’d rather have frozen diced zucchini, we’d recommend blanching it first.
Are you looking for a good freezer? Thank God I have the best one to recommend to you!
