One thing that can stop you from wasting food is to plan your meals during the weekends. Not only will this help you stop wondering what you are going to cook for dinner, but it will also help you plan your grocery store runs, save you money because you know exactly what to buy and how much of it, and the structure will make your life easier.
The trick is to make sure you don’t end up biting off more than you can chew! If you know your schedule is hectic, you shouldn’t worry too much about sticking to a strict meal plan. You can add in nights with no plan and just wing it at the moment with what you have in the fridge and in your trusty pantry. And even if your plan falls apart, do not panic; you will be able to make a simple meal with what you have around.
The goal is not to throw away too much food, to save money, and not to stress out!
