Spices

While spices don’t go bad as raw meat would (after all, it’s not like you’re going to get sick if you eat a 4-year-old taco seasoning), they will start to resemble more sawdust and less what they’re supposed to taste like.

Unless you use a whole pound of nutmeg every six months, you shouldn’t buy spices in large quantities.

  1. Using common sense while shopping at Costco, or any big box store, is the key. I am a single person and find shopping at Costco, morcany big box store, I can save money. A pack of toilet tissue usury last me 6 months. That means I do not have avneedvto buy it again for 6 months. Also, the cost is much less than buying at a grocery store. Fresh produce and fruit should not be purchased unless you can use it within a week.
