Fresh produce

Honestly: will you actually go through 10 pounds of potatoes before they sprout? What about those bananas? If every month, you throw out a large bag of products you bought, you’re not really making any deal.

Even more, try to stay away as much as possible from lettuce, spinach, and any other delicate leafy greens, unless you have a very specific plan on what to do with them.

Besides that, some of the large fruits you’re buying, like watermelons or pineapples, are much cheaper at your local grocery store than at Costco.

  1. Using common sense while shopping at Costco, or any big box store, is the key. I am a single person and find shopping at Costco, morcany big box store, I can save money. A pack of toilet tissue usury last me 6 months. That means I do not have avneedvto buy it again for 6 months. Also, the cost is much less than buying at a grocery store. Fresh produce and fruit should not be purchased unless you can use it within a week.
