5. Travel-sized items
So you started packing your bags for your next trip. You are almost done with everything when you realize that there is only one thing left that is missing. You need some travel-sized toiletries, such as deodorant or toothpaste.
You might think that you can get some from Dollar Tree or another dollar store. But even if you buy them from Dollar Tree, it doesn’t mean that you get them for a good price.
If you want to stock up, better avoid dollar stores and go directly to Walmart. From here, you can buy a 0.5-ounce Old Spice swagger for $0.97 instead of $1.25. Also, 1 oz. of Gold Bond Ultimate Healing lotion costs $0.97 at Walmart instead of $1.25 at Dollar Tree.

Hi I’m 76 and i try to be frugal. I go to dollar stores and if things pass my judgement I get it. lol
In many examples this is the case. Understand your monthly budget, your need for the month in quantity of the product and then weigh the costs of each of the local stores. You’ll be surprised how many times big box stores win the price competition. However, I see the same faces at ALL of these stores so go figure! Dollar stores still hold their place in the shopping game. Play the game wisely and you will WIN! Happy shopping, RW, Florida.
