Shopping on eBay and Craigslist? 10 Things You Should Pass On

On most occasions, eBay and Craigslist offer awesome deals; however, you shouldn’t purchase the following items no matter how low the prices are. Inexpensive products often come with several issues.

From safety problems to sanitary concerns, you’re better off without certain things found on eBay and Craigslist. They are cheap for a very good (which is ultimately bad) reason!

So, when you’re tempted to say that a price is too good to be true, ask yourself several questions. For instance… ‘Is it safe to sleep on a mattress on which a stranger used to lay down?’ Or… ‘Do I really need those second-hand shoes that will most likely give me back pain?’

Yeah… I thought so. You don’t need it.

Let’s find out more things you should definitely pass on when shopping on eBay and Craigslist:

Cribs

Buying a used crib is a total no-no. First of all, the safety standards for baby cribs may be different now than they were, let’s say five years ago, which means that the crib you found on eBay may not be the safest item for your newborn baby.

These standards are constantly changing. For example, drop-side cribs were perfectly fine before 2011. Now, manufacturing or selling this type of cribs is actually illegal. Take a closer look at what you want to buy on eBay or Craigslist. Even though the prices are smiling at you, hold your ground and don’t buy anything without proper research.
