3 Online Retailers Even Cheaper Than Amazon

Temu

When it comes to online retailers, this is one that has been on everyone’s radar for the last few months. Not only have people been obsessed with that online shopping app, but they have also helped it get to the number one spot on the App Store, no matter what type of phone you may have. The reason for this is simple! You can buy most things you can think of on Temu for a very low price. No matter what you may be thinking of, from clothing and accessories to electronics and kitchen items, they will have it, and chances are it will be less than $30!

If you are looking for very cheap items and you do not mind having to wait a little bit to get them, you can easily end up shopping on Temu from them instead of Amazon. In the end, there is a chance that some items you may be purchasing on Amazon are from a third-party store that is also sourcing their items from China, so why not skip the middleman and get them directly from the source?

Temu prides itself on the fact that they are offering cheaper versions of a copied product, not shying away from the fact that certain designs could be copied from big designers. They do, however, mention in their terms and services that they do not allow copyright infringement of intellectual property, so the area is pretty gray.

Temu has become extremely popular in the U.S., yet there are concerns over the fact that they could be selling the data of customers and that they are not much better when it comes to manufacturing processes than Shein (another massive Chinese retailer that is known for shady business and labor practices).

  1. Temu has an endless number of products. I can spend hours just looking. Photos are great, but product descriptions can be a little lacking. Be sure to look for measurements, as photos can be misleading. Also, be aware that when you buy that really cool attachment for your sewing machine, all the miscellaneous pieces will come in a tiny plastic bag with no instructions. Unless you’re lucky enough to find the video again, you’re left with trial and error. I returned 2/3 of my first order of about 15 items. ‘Cheap’ clothing is cheaply made, but if you look at it as ‘disposable’ clothing, you can get fun stuff. They do allow one return per order, so check everything out and send back items you don’t want. Refund was prompt and no questions asked, although I think I did have to list each item with the reason I was returning it. And save the packing it came in….. makes return easier.
I still don’t like the idea of dealing with this company… the press is not good, and I’m not that desperate to save a few pennies. BUT if it’s something I really need, and the savings is over 30% on a middle-priced item, I’d still be tempted.
