6. Arby’s
Arby’s was once the gold standard for budget meat lovers thanks to its famous five-for-five-dollar roast beef promotions. Over the past decade, however, Arby’s menu prices have climbed roughly fifty-five percent. Today, a single standard roast beef sandwich costs $5 to $7 on its own, with larger specialty sandwiches priced between $8 and $10. A complete combo meal featuring curly fries and a soft drink routinely reaches $11 to $14. The thinly sliced, re-formed roast beef and processed cheese sauce no longer justify double-digit meal checks, cementing Arby’s spot on the list of sandwich chains to skip.
