3. Brown rice and other whole grains
I am a huge fan of rice because it can be eaten whole or combined with vegetables or meat. You may easily increase your fiber intake and feel satisfied with fewer calories by eating brown rice and other whole grains like barley, quinoa, and buckwheat. Similar to beans, grains can be warmed in a kettle of salted water. Next, simply add butter.
Purchasing in bulk can help you save even more money if you consume it frequently. Plus, depending on the store, you can pay almost $2 for a one-pound bag. Quite a bargain, right?
4. 80% cocoa chocolate
Dark chocolate is one of the best things to indulge yourself in after a long, stressful day. Plus, it’s super healthy because it’s a great source of fiber, magnesium, and other healthy nutrients. But don’t forget to eat it in moderation! However, chocolate can be stored in dry places away from the sunlight for up to 6 months past the “best by” date on the label.
You can eat it raw, or you can add it to your yogurt of choice along with your favorite whole cereals! Delicious.
