1. Clean your pots, pans, counters and oven

Due to cooking, most likely your pots, pans and ovens have some stubborn grease stains. This is your chance to test baking soda to see what it can do. As a mild abrasive, it will help you to remove those stains instantly.

Just mix it with some water and leave the compound to work for about 20 minutes. Then rub the surface using the abrasive side of a kitchen sponge.

To increase its power, try to mix baking soda with lemon juice or vinegar. The mix will keep away the harmful bacteria too (mold included).

2. Deodorize your home

Do you keep an opened box of baking soda in your refrigerator to absorb odors? Well, you can do the same in many other places from your house. Pour some in the bottom of the trash cans or inside of your smelly sneakers. You can even layer your cat’s litter box with some baking soda to reduce the bad smell.
