4. Aspirin
If you have a headache or a cold and you think that some aspirin will make things better, our advice is to not buy it from the dollar stores. A bottle of Valuhealth (Dollar Tree brand) that contains 40 low-dose tabs costs $1.25.
If you go to Target, you can buy a bottle of 100 extra-strong acetaminophen aspirin pills from the store’s brand for $2.19. That means you will get more medicine that is also stronger for less money.
Now, you don’t need to go to Target for a deal like this. You can also try Walmart, CVS, or Rite Aid.

Hi I’m 76 and i try to be frugal. I go to dollar stores and if things pass my judgement I get it. lol
In many examples this is the case. Understand your monthly budget, your need for the month in quantity of the product and then weigh the costs of each of the local stores. You’ll be surprised how many times big box stores win the price competition. However, I see the same faces at ALL of these stores so go figure! Dollar stores still hold their place in the shopping game. Play the game wisely and you will WIN! Happy shopping, RW, Florida.
