#5 Not the most competitive prices
It may not seem like it when even the store is talking about how they are bringing in the cheapest prices they can. However, they do not have the cheapest prices out there when compared with all the other stores. This is not a blanket statement, as in order to see which store has the cheapest prices, you would have to centralize all of them to compare, but with Trader Joe’s, it is a hit or miss depending on what you want to buy.
Sometimes, the product you want may be cheaper at their store, or it may be cheaper at one of their competitors, like Walmart, Aldi, Target, or even Whole Foods. And when you take into consideration that most of their items only come prepackaged, you may be choosing to shop at another store altogether after making your calculations.
